"Musicking" is inspired by the COVID-19-related restrictions that, among many other areas, also shut down the cultural industry. This was especially noticeable in concert halls that suddenly, in the truest sense of the word, fell silent. Deprived of their intention, because these places were built to be heard, "Musicking" documents in an acoustic way these places. Between the restarting of the concert and the forced pause, both the specific sounds and acoustics of these empty spaces and a world forced to stand still are portrayed.

"Musicking" was realized with field recordings from four Tyrolean concert halls: Tiroler Landeskonservatorium, Landestheater, Saal Tirol at Congresshaus and the Festspielhaus in Erl.

Album title and track titles are taken from Christopher Smalls book Musicking: The Meanings of Performing and Listening.
